INKpals’ One Poem a Day Challenge – Day 4

Today’s assignment is to write a poem about one thing you do every single day. I know you may be thinking that this might lead to a boring poem but think of all of these exercises as priers; you never know what you will find on the other side of the door.  Try to be as detailed as possible. about it made it enjoyable.

Today’s  example or starter sentence is the following. Kinda gives a hint of what my morning is like sometimes:

-

The alarm rings but the dogs

are still asleep and that affords me

at least ten more minutes of snooze time

then it’s fumbling for my slippers

followed by a temporary slip–back

on the pillow, a whole other day awaits…

Happy Writing!

There’s just something about the city

INKpals’ One Poem a Day Challenge – Day 1

Today’s assignment is to write a poem about your favorite place and why it is special to you. It can be a secret place that no one knows about or a common place but no one knows how special it is to you. The following is just an example but feel free to use it as a starter sentence if you’d like. I know I will ;)

-

There is a wall

near the back of grandma’s house

that I love to scaled, even though my legs

are too short to scale it whole…

-

Happy Writing!
