A Poetic Note #1: A Fog, A Bird, A Moment Becoming
Dear reader and fellow creative,
There’s an essay I wrote recently—one I’m not quite ready to share here. Not because it’s unfinished, but because I’m taking a step I haven’t always taken: I’m submitting it elsewhere first.
This space—A Poetic Life—has mostly been home to fully developed essays, each one carefully shaped, reflective, and complete. But lately, I’ve been feeling the need to open the window a little wider. To write to you more often—not just when something is polished, but when something is stirring.
I’m learning to lean into writing these more personal notes from my desk. Notes that capture the process, the pauses, the passing thoughts. Because the poetic life isn’t only lived on the page—it’s lived in the day-to-day, in the moments we’re still making sense of. And I want to give you a fuller view of that life.
So for now, I just want you to know that something is in motion. It began, as many things do, in stillness. With clouds. With a bird. With the kind of quiet that makes you notice all the versions of yourself becoming at once.
Thank you for being here—for listening even when the page is momentarily blank. It means more than I can say.
And if you’re the kind who believes in quiet wishes or whispered encouragements sent across space—I’ll gladly take them. This submission is a small leap, but it feels like an important one. Thank you for being part of it.
More soon.
In conversation, always,
Enzo
P.S. I’ve been reading This Is One Way to Dance by Sejal Shah, and it’s the kind of book that reminds you how movement, memory, and meaning all happen at once. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something reflective and quietly transformative.
