Welcome! I've been waiting for you.
For over a decade, as an award-winning author, poet, speaker, and social advocate, I have offered writing workshops, lectures, readings, and speaking engagements at colleges, universities, schools, libraries, performing arts centers, festivals, corporations, civic and cultural associations, and at private events. I have used empowering messages, reflections, meditations, and lamentations to educate and inspire and to help us become our best selves and to curate a better world together. It is in this spirit that I have created a Patreon community.
“Your lack of participation in the joys of the world and in your life, does not make the world a better place.”

I love a good story and can write one too. Always have been able to do so as a kid. I learned to document what was happening around me and with a dose of imagination turned everyday experiences into something extraordinary. And as much as I like to write, I believe we all have the ability to tell incredible stories. And no story is more powerful than the one we tell ourselves; the story we write and narrate in our minds every single day. Sometimes we tell ourselves this is going to be another awful week or this is just how bad my entire life is and it will not get better. Think about what is really being said here. We are writing a story about days that haven’t even happened yet. Today is Monday but we’re already telling ourselves that Tuesday is going to be as awful as today. The thing is, we are not guaranteed a tomorrow so all we really have is today. As such, tomorrow is an opportunity for a new chapter, one that we get to write when we get there. This is to say that every day we get to write our stories and stories have a way of manifesting life in a way one could never imagine. Take a moment today to think about the stories you tell yourself about yourself and start drafting a new one.
