“We read to know we're not alone.” ― William Nicholson

American Scapegoat is a collection of poems that explores the intersectionality of race, culture, and class through the lens of blackness. These poems take a hard look at history, America, and mortality in a world where oppression and violence continue to thrive. It is the start of a much bigger conversation and we look forward to getting a copy into as many hands as possible.

We also want to share a great opportunity to receive an audio recording of the poems in the book. When your copy of American Scapegoat arrives, simply post a picture of you with the book and tag us on FB, IG, or Twitter. Then visit our website to let us know the best email to use and we will send you a recording of Enzo reading one of the following poems:

1. In Defense of My Body’s Dissertation
2. AMERICAN Reprieve (A-Here-and-Not-Here-Division)
3. Elegy for the American Dream
4. Interrogation of Past & Future Constellations
